A tradition of excellence, innovation and leadership in telecommunications and cyber security.
It is my pleasure to introduce the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, established in 2001 as the first of its kind in any public sector university of Pakistan. Over the years, we have taken pride in producing graduates who serve with distinction in leading telecom organizations both home and abroad.
Today, the world is witnessing a paradigm shift. Telecommunication is no longer just about connectivity—it is the backbone of 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), and ultra-reliable low-latency communication. Concurrently, cyber security has become the first line of defense in our hyper-connected digital ecosystem.
In response to these modern trends, our department offers the following undergraduate programs, designed to meet industry and research demands:
B.E. Telecommunication Engineering
5G/6G, optical transport networks, software-defined networking and emerging communication technologies.
B.S. Cyber Security
Network defense, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud security and zero-trust architectures.
At the postgraduate level, we facilitate PhD programs and offer three specialized master’s programs:
- M.E. in Communication Systems and Networks (CSN)
- M.E. in Telecommunication Engineering & Management (TLEM)
- MS Cyber Security

Our purpose-built facility houses 12 well-equipped laboratories featuring state-of-the-art equipment for simulation, prototyping and research in telecommunications and cyber security. Our highly qualified faculty is dedicated to mentoring students in academic and research challenges, while our administrative staff remains attentive to their needs.
